The AERKOMM Board authorizes management to expedite merger terms with EJECTT to capture Taiwan's growing SatCom market, with a joint focus on military-grade communication systems and 6G Non-Terrestrial Networks.
AERKOMM Inc.’s Board of Directors authorized management on February 22, 2024, to expedite terms of a proposed merger between AERKOMM Taiwan Inc. and EJECTT Inc. (3089.TWO), following the Letter of Intent signed in July 2023.
The accelerated timeline is aimed at two structural opportunities: military-grade communication systems and 6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN).
Military communications
EJECTT has secured multiple Taiwan government contracts since 2021 and holds AVL (Approved Vendor List) qualification, giving the combined entity a credentialed path from aviation into broader mobility and defense integrator work.
AERKOMM contributes complementary capabilities across HTS semiconductor antennas, software-defined radio modems, and waveforms that operate across LEO, MEO, and GEO orbit systems — the technology stack a modern military connectivity layer requires.
6G / NTN
In February 2024, ten governments — including the United States, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Sweden, and the United Kingdom — jointly endorsed 6G principles promoting open, interoperable, and secure connectivity. NTN, in which satellites and High-Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) extend coverage globally, is expected to be a defining feature of 6G.
The AERKOMM–EJECTT combination is positioned to serve both trend lines from a single stack.
