AERKOMM appointed Asia-Pacific distribution partner for VolitionRF airborne multi-band satcom terminals.
AERKOMM signs a Distribution Partner Agreement with VolitionRF, gaining rights to distribute the company's Ku/Ka and X/Ka airborne multi-band satcom terminals for defense, aerospace, ISR, and unmanned platforms across the Asia-Pacific region.
AERKOMM Inc. has signed a Distribution Partner Agreement with VolitionRF, granting AERKOMM the right to distribute VolitionRF’s Ku/Ka and X/Ka airborne multi-band satcom terminals throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The terminals are designed for defense, aerospace, ISR, and unmanned platforms with an emphasis on low size, weight, and power (“SWaP”) and mission-assured performance.
Paired with AERKOMM’s ground infrastructure, the combined offering delivers seamless multi-frequency, multi-orbit connectivity across satellite constellations — a capability increasingly required by APAC operators fielding uncrewed and airborne ISR systems.
“This partnership directly addresses APAC’s critical need for multi-frequency and multi-orbit solutions,” said AERKOMM CEO Louis Giordimaina. VolitionRF CEO Erik Hansen added that “AERKOMM’s established presence and deep expertise in multi-orbit integration make them the ideal partner” for the region.
Why it matters
The APAC region is one of the fastest-growing markets for resilient airborne connectivity. Combining VolitionRF’s low-SWaP terminals with AERKOMM’s multi-orbit ground layer gives regional operators a single procurement path to hardware-agnostic, jam-resistant links — matching the pace at which unmanned and ISR fleets are being fielded across the theater.
