AERKOMM and EJECTT sign LOI, advancing potential merger.
AERKOMM Inc. and EJECTT Inc. sign a Letter of Intent to explore a merger between AERKOMM Taiwan and EJECTT, formalizing the consolidation path in Taiwan's satellite communications sector.
On July 28, 2023, AERKOMM Inc. and EJECTT Inc. (3089.TWO) signed a Letter of Intent to explore a potential merger between AERKOMM Taiwan Inc. and EJECTT Inc. — following the resolution passed by AERKOMM’s Board on July 10.
Collaboration in flight
Both companies are already working together on Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs project for emergency communication resilience, leveraging their multi-orbit satellite communication capabilities. The LOI formalizes what has been an operating collaboration and sets up a merger as the next step.
Why now
The agreement is intended to synergize each side’s strengths in Taiwan’s satellite communications sector — AERKOMM’s multi-orbit technology stack and international operator relationships alongside EJECTT’s Taiwan Approved Vendor List position and government-contracting track record — and to expand the combined footprint of satellite-business opportunities in the region.
The LOI was later expanded upon by a Board authorization to accelerate merger terms in March 2024.
